Majed came to Germany from Damascus/Syria via Turkey on the Balkan route in December 2015 at the age of 13, together with his father Emad and his younger brother Mohammad. From March 2016 to June 2019, the three Syrian refugees lived in the home of the foundation's founders in Leonberg-Warmbronn. Majed passed the Fachoberschulreife exam in 2019 and then attended the technical high school in Leonberg. He has now passed his Abitur there in July 2023 and has started an apprenticeship as a business IT specialist. With our scholarship, we were able to help him improve his language skills and grades in German and English in particular.We congratulate Majed on the path he has now been able to crown with his first major success since fleeing Syria.
