Amulike is a ninth-grade student at Dominican Convent School www.dominican.co.za in Johannesburg/South Africa. He started his school career in 2015 in the third grade. He is an above average learner but can sometimes get distracted as he suffers from ADHD. This is somewhat noticeable in his math grades, but he is working hard on it, temporarily with the support of medication. His principal praises him, he actively participates in class, and he can speak his mind with confidence. He is rarely absent from school. He is an avid soccer and basketball player and has been selected to represent the school in soccer and basketball in recent years. He has two sisters who are at the same school. His parents are separated. Amulike lives with his mother. The mother is a nurse, and the father is self-employed. Currently, both parents are struggling with financial problems. In order to enable him to finish his school education, we are financing his education through Ukuthanda e.V. with a school scholarship.
